Monitoring and Evaluation

The purpose of the Monitoring and Evaluation area is to identify the demands and needs in the areas of Science, Technology, and Innovation through the design of evaluation systems by results and impacts of science, research, and innovation, through methodologies for monitoring the execution of the institution’s strategic and operational plans, as well as the programs, projects, and activities developed; It is also responsible for the development of internal and external evaluations of the programs and projects carried out within the Strategic Plan to detect and determine the changes that occur in the internal and external context of the programs and report on their strengths, advantages, and weaknesses in order to recommend the necessary adjustments for their effectiveness.

The Monitoring and Evaluation actions respond to the mandate of the “Governance Program” of the National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy and the National Plan 2015-2019 which states “Strengthen the capacity for planning evaluation of policies and programs and the development of a monitoring strategy linked to national goals”.
